Principals are registered structural engineers actively involved on a daily basis with each project.  Experienced in all types of materials and structural systems, we provide design of reinforced concrete, tilt-up and pre-cast concrete, concrete masonry, post-tensioned and prestressed concrete, structural steel, cold-formed steel, wood, timber, and engineered wood products.  We provide complete structural engineering services for new work, renovations, adaptive re-use projects, and seismic retrofits.  In addition to new design and retrofit work, we perform structural investigations, reviews, and critiques of structures.

Principal Engineers manage and direct the efforts of the structural design team, including conceptual design, design development, production of contract documents, construction administration, and overall coordination and management of the project.

We consult with the Client and Project Geotechnical Engineer to ensure the appropriate seismic performance level is selected for each project.  Shull & Associates engineering staff uses state of the art analysis and design engineering software to perform finite element and dynamic analysis of mid to high-rise buildings.  Our engineers strive for technical expertise and stay current on the latest innovations in structural engineering analysis and design.  The latest releases of AutoCAD and Revit Structure are used for construction document production. Principals and all staff members are proficient with AutoCAD and Revit production and electronic distribution and management of drawing files.
